We process everything in house, which means we make sure only the best cane gets to be reeds and ensures you get great sounding reeds.
One of the best in the business and a favorite among professionals and amateurs, we use the Herzberg shape for all our reeds and blanks. It’s a happy medium that allows for a beautiful and responsive low range and a crystal clear high range.
All reeds are made by Mariah Stadel, a professional bassoonist with over 9 years of reed making background. She has excellent attention to detail and problem solving skills, making her reeds ones that can withstand any playing needed.
I would be remiss if I failed to mention that all reeds are inspected by our cat, Raven. She makes sure our customers get the best bassoon reeds and keeps me on track.
